Kashif Ali Dani aka Dani Khan, is an internationally acclaimed tabla artist known for his dynamic performances and deep-rooted mastery of classical and contemporary rhythms. Kashif is a Disciple of Ustad Ghulam Abbas Khan of the Punjab Gharana.

His performance credits include prestigious venues such as: Ronnie Scott's, barbican (UK), Centre Stage, Kennedy Centre, UCLA (USA), Mao Livehouse (China) and shows in Norway, Australia, Turkey, Poland, Germany, Ajman, Dubai,Abu Dhabi, Oman and the list goes on.

He has toured extensively across the UK, USA and internationally, captivating audiences with his expressive playing and cross-cultural collaborations with critically acclaimed Jazz bands like Jaubi.

Dani’s work bridges tradition and innovation, bringing the rich heritage of tabla to diverse global audiences with energy, precision, and passion.

Dani is a founding and permanent member of Jaubi Having performed at The Barbican Centre and Jazz festivals around the world, the acclaimed collective known for its unique fusion of jazz and South Asian classical music. As the group’s tabla player, he plays a vital role in shaping Jaubi’s distinctive sound, blending intricate rhythmic traditions with contemporary improvisation to create a truly global musical experience. Jaubi (pronounced “Jaw-Bee”) are an experimental band from Lahore, Pakistan.
